Another Great Week!

Well, it was another great week at Capital Homes and for the CHEO Spiel.  I could get used to this.  Another 2 sales, a new listing and an offer on the go…real estate wise, we’re booming.  Then there was the CHEO Spiel, yesterday at the Nepean Sportsplex… it was a blast!  Almost 125 people showed up, curled and partied, all to raise money for the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario.  Lots of fun people were there and by all accounts it was an awesome fundraiser. 

The Day of an Event…

Its funny because you spend 2 or 3 months organizing and planning an event, only to discover the day of the event that you could’ve put it all together in a week.  Haha.  Our committee was full of ‘first timers’, people who don’t normally plan fundraisers, and they did an amazing job.  After 18 years of doing this, I still get a thrill when our guests tell us how much fun they are having and how much one of our events means to them.  After all is said and done, we should raise about $2000 for CHEO but more importantly we helped to bring attention to the children at the hospital who need the money more then we do. 

The Next Event…

Next up is The Monopoloff.  This is a 24 player Monopoly tournament slated for late Macth.  6 tables, 6 bankers, 6 hours featuring live music, prizes and a silent auction…all to find Ottawa’s Top Tycoon.  This should be a great event, we will have more details in the next couple of weeks. 

Social Media Works…

With the help of Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Linked In…my name is starting to get out there.  Out where?  Who knows, all I know is that more and more people are recognizing the name Johnny Hunt, a good sign if you’re me.  The next few weeks should help out as well as I have new listings, HD videos and a new event coming out.  If you haven’t started to follow me…now would be a good time.

The Week Ahead…

This week should be extremely busy with lots of showings, a new Realtor to train, a new listing and of course, Valentines Day.
