FORE!
19 Feb
Ok, I realize its freezing cold in Ottawa and theres still 3 feet of snow on the ground…but I’m in full on golf mode lately! I love to golf, but I’m not very good at it. I’m sorry, I should say I’m a decent golfer (in the 90′s) but I can only hit the ball 185 yards…with my driver. I realize thats not anything special, but its right down the middle and I’m amazing around the greens. The last few weeks I’ve been indoor golfing with a buddy of mine and starting to get the swing back. Next up, a trip to Nashville in mid April to work on some actual greens before hitting the links in Ottawa.
Spring Market
Given the recent change in temperature in Ottawa the real estate market is on the rise. With 9 ends in two weeks, its been a great month at Capital Homes and its only getting better. To help promote our Brokerage we are wrapping my assistants Kia Soul with information about Capital Homes and our YouTube HD Listings and we are working on a new bus bench near my house in Carson Grove. This should all be complete in the next few weeks which will really add to our marketing efforts. If you’re in Ottawa it’ll be hard to miss us.
New Listings
Looks like this upcoming week I’ll have 2 or 3 new listings, another great start to the Spring market. With our new Buyer Representative, Allyson, licensed next week these new listings should keep her busy with Buyer leads and a few Open Houses. She was in the office most of the week training and getting her marketing in order, all thats left is for her to get licensed and start selling!
RentToOwnYourHome.Ca
Our RentToOwn Company is also starting to heat up, even though I’ve backed off the marketing off it to focus more on Capital Homes. I’ve got a few appointments this week, 1 with an Investor, and should be selling an RTO Tenant shortly.
Monopoloff
My 24 player Monopoly tournament is coming along nicely. I’ve almost finished the website for this fundraiser, locked down a location and a date (April 6). In the next few weeks I should start to recruit some bankers and volunteers and also begin to sell seats. I expect a sell out and a great time!
The Week Ahead
With no current listings (sold them all) I’ve got the next couple of days off and then its right back to work with the new listings and marketing. I’ve also got a couple of Sens games and possibly a night down in Mont Tremblant.
Thanks again for reading…see you next weekend!
