Hope The Groundhog Was Right!

Spring is almost here…I hope.  On top of the obvious thrill of golfing again on a real course, Spring brings with it a crazy busy Real Estate market.   The next few months will make or break my year and its shaping up to be one heck of a Spring market! 

The Wrap

Capital Homes Realty is going to have a driving billboard…our Assistant Jaime’s Kia Soul.  We’ve had a local company design a wrap for the vehicle and she will be driving it all over the city very shortly.  The design is a cutting edge spin on our logo with a feature on our HD Listings.  Here is a sneak peek…

Our hope is to use this enhanced advertising to further our brand and inform the city of our real estate services. 

RentToOwn

Well, it looks like RentToOwnYourHome.Ca is For Sale.  That’s right, I’m officially looking for a Buyer for this great company.  Its alot of work to maintain 2 companys and ensure that both are marketed and promoted properly.  My goal is to find someone to take over this company and allow me more time to focus on my Real Estate ventures.  I started this company from scratch in 2009 and have taken it to 43,000 hits a week on the website!  I am proud of this company but am also realistic about its future if I dont focus on it more.  I’d rather spend more time on Capital Homes, my family and my fundraising. 

Carson Grove

I live in the East end of Ottawa, in a neighborhood called Carson Grove.  If you know Ottawa, its located between the Aviation Parkway and Bathgate Drive, Ogilvie Road to Den Haig.  I was born and raised in ‘The Grove’ and am amazed at how different it looks lately – the trees around the neighborhood have been removed to get rid of a bug that is breeding in them.  Entire forests are gone, and neighbors that have been there for 38 years don’t have a tree in their front yard.  If you have ever lived in Carson Grove you want to make sure to tour the neighborhood sooner than later to see the last of the treed properties. 

The Monopoloff

My 24 player Monopoly tournament is starting to pick up…I’ve secured a location (Hard Rock Cafe in Ottawa), a date (April 6) and a fresh new format.  I will be finished the website next week and hope that this will be a great event.  It should be fun to see the response from the public about a tournament that normally would never happen.  And the best part is that all money raised will be donated to CHEO.
